Trumpeter Imogen Hancock and pianist Jennifer Hughes perform a lunchtime recital at the Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival, featuring Stephen Dodgson’s Trumpet Concerto. The concerto was written for Hancock, the last piece Dodgson wrote, and has been arranged for trumpet and piano by Hughes for the duo to perform.
This programme also features Sally Beamish’s Trinculo and Barry Mills’ Evening and Night, two works written specially for the duo. As well as these, the duo will perform Claude Debussy’s Arabesque No.1, Gabriel Fauré’s Après un Rêve, Peter Maxwell Davies’ Sonatina for Solo Trumpet and Philippe Gaubert’s Cantabile et Scherzetto.
Tickets are £8 on the day or £7 in advance (students and under 16s £3).
