Early keyboard specialist Julian Perkins performs a clavichord recital exploring both early and more contemporary music for the instrument as part of the Swaledale Festival at an unusual venue. He will perform Stephen Dodgson’s Suite No. 2 for Clavichord alongside clavichord music by Byrd, Bach, Scarlatti and Howells.
He will also demonstrate and compare the subtleties of his clavichord and ottavina spinet.
Light refreshments will be available, and guided tours of Gayle Mill will be offered after the recital.
