Vickers Bovey DuoThe Vickers Bovey guitar duo (Julian Vickers and Dan Bovey) perform Dodgson alongside works by Rameau, Ravel and more as part of the Music at Matrix series in Abingdon.

Music at Matrix is a series of concerts organised by Rossella Rubini at Matrix Arts Centre. It is an educational charity which provides a warm and friendly environment for children and adults to explore the arts.  The series aims to enrich and broaden the cultural activities available to the local community, and to foster students’ engagement with music by exposing them to high-calibre, professional musicians.

Refreshments will be available. And at the end of the performance, Julian and Dan will be happy to chat with the audience and sign their CD, containing the complete set of Ryan’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.

'Dormi Jesu' – LFCCM opening night @ St Paul's Knightsbridge
The London Festival of Contemporary Church Music opens on Friday 8th May with ‘Arise, My Darling’, a concert from stellar London chamber choir Pegasus. The evening explores a range of sacred works by modern composers and includes Stephen Dodgson’s ‘Dormi Jesu’. This beautiful simple soprano-alto-tenor miniature mixes medieval harmonies with hint of modernism to produce an exquisite vision of the Virgin Mary nurturing the young Christ child.
